Front guards, 1/2 x 4-inch heat treated uplift blades, replaceable skids, shock absorbers on pull models (307) and front deflectors on all models. Except for a choice of rear deflectors, there's not a lot of extras to order.
Spring steel, free-swinging blades, and all welded 7-gauge steel main-frames for the toughest mowing conditions. Heavy duty gearboxes and driveshafts, along with steel cut gear assemblies add to the muscle needed to handle the shock loads of rugged cutting conditions. The completely enclosed rear design of these cutters provides better mulching. Heart of the Line rotary cutters take on brush up to 3-inches in diameter and deliver a clean cut.
Slip clutch for lift models (standard on 307), choice of drivelines, heavy or regular duty tailwheels. The original Bush Hog Rotary Cutter. Cutting width five feet. Available as a lift model with a 540 rpm 65 HP gearbox. Side bands are 1/4 x 6 inches. Round bladeholders are standard.
Cutting width 6 feet. Available as a lift type only with a choice of Cat. 4 or 5 drivelines with or without a slip clutch. A heavy duty, 540 rpm, 90 HP gearbox is standard and a heavy duty tailwheel is available. Round blade holders are standard.
Cutting width 7 feet. Dual solid tyres and slip clutch standard.The 307 is also available as a pull model with a shock absorber, jackstand and ratchet. Hydraulic height adjustment available.
Heavy duty mowers for brush-cutting, rights-of-way and highway maintenance
- Deck Frame ConstructionAll welded 1/4-inch steel with X-bracing for maximum strength
- Strongback steel channel rails extend across the deck for added strength
- Gearbox stand bridged with a 3/8 inch steel plate. The lower gearbox backplate is 1/2 inch thick steel and welds securely to the deck reinforcing plate.
- 3-inch diameter blade bolt access hole assures faster blade replacement and easier access.
- 8-inch deep 1/4 inch thick Side Bands. The deep Z-formed design increases structural rigidity.
- Completely enclosed rear increases mulching action for better shredding of material.
- Mast features a flexible top link and is designed for Category II and III and Category II and III Quick Hitch. Mast construction 3 x 3 x 1/4-inch tubular steel.
- Pull hitch includes a clevis-type tongue adjustable to tractor drawbar heights. Includes jackshaft and pillow block bearing.
- Lift models include a single 16-inch diameter, 4-inch wide, 360 degree swivel caster wheel. Hub is ductile cast with two regreasable roller bearings.
- Pull models include two 21-inch diameter, 5-1/2 inch wide solid rubber wheels. Hub is ductile cast with two tapered roller bearings and triple lip purging seals.
- Caster wheel frame with easy-to-use adjusting link that sets the mowing height.
- Available with a 1-3/8 inch, 6-spline 540 rpm power take-off.
- Gearbox continuously rated at 125 hp features high alloy machine cut and heat treated steel gears
- ASAE Category 5 telescoping driveline is fully shielded.
- Two-plate slip clutch standard. Four plate clutch optional and recommended for tractor horsepower above 70 and at 540 rpm.
- Round blade pans standard to protect the drive-train. Blade pan is 3-1/2 inches deep and dynamically balanced
- High strength steel Blade Bars, 4 inches wide, 2-1/2 inches thick. Weld to the pan supported by side gussets.
- 5/8-inch thick x 5-inch wide free-swinging blades constructed from fine grain steel heat treated to extra hardness.
- Blade tip speed is 10,179 fpm at 540 rpm.
- Single-row 3/8-inch front deflector chains span the full width and extend down to full depth of the side band. Front deflector chains are standard.
- Single-row 3/8-inch rear deflector chains are bolted around the curved rear of the cutter and extend down below the side bands. Rear deflectors are optional, but are required when mowing along roadsides or where people may be present
